There are so many types of hair transplant available, that it can seem a little daunting if you’re wondering which one’s right for you. While one method might be suitable for one person, it could be altogether wrong for someone else.

Long Hair Transplant

If you’ve developed patches of hair loss that you’d like to address, but don’t want to have to shave off the rest of your hair to do this, then a long hair transplant could be a good option. This method allows the client to keep their hair unshaven.

During the procedure, the donor hair is removed at full length, then it is cut before being implanted into the area where it’s needed. Long hair transplants can be carried out in different ways including -

  • Completely unshaven long hair transplant
  • Shaving just the donor area and the recipient site
  • Shaving just a minimal section of the donor area

Unshaven Hair Transplantation in Turkey

Unshaven hair transplant – or UFUE – is when the hair is left completely unshaven – so that means both the donor and recipient area are left as they are and hair is transplanted in amongst the existing hair growth.

This option isn’t always possible, but in terms of types of hair transplant surgery where you can keep your procedure low-key and off the radar of your acquaintances, this one is at the top of the list.

Female Hair Transplant in Turkey

At Este, we offer a range of female hair transplant procedures at our state-of-the-art sister hair transplant Turkey clinic in Istanbul. Here you’ll have all the privacy you need to have your hair replacement treatment.

As each client is different, we work with you to ensure you’ll be happy with the results, choosing a recipient area that looks natural and a donor area that is discreet and easy to hide.

Robotic Hair Transplant in Turkey

Robotic hair transplant gets rid of any possibility of human error. With this method, cutting edge technology ensures your hair transplant is as precise as possible. The robotic hair transplant technology uses advanced algorithms to make sure only the very best hairs are selected to be harvested and used for the recipient site.

Robotic hair transplant is a much more modern method of hair transplant, and avoids any need for stitches, has a minimal recovery time, fewer side effects, and ensures impressive, natural results.

In terms of robotic hair transplant vs FUE - if you’re worried that a robotic hair transplant might give too precise a finish, then you may wish to look at FUE or the Sapphire method, both of which are designed to give a natural aesthetic.

Eyebrow Transplant

It is possible to get seriously great brows without the need for eyebrow makeup and it’s done using the FUE hair transplant method. Donor hair is taken from a discreet area on your scalp and then simply transplanted into your eyebrows.

The results are natural and last a lifetime – but you will only start to see the final results around 10 months post-treatment once your new hair has grown fully.

Beard Hair Transplant

If you suffer from patchy beard growth, then you can do something about it with FUE hair transplant. Your surgeon will work with you to create a natural-looking beard shape and then use donor hair taken from your scalp to create a fuller-looking beard.

This is great for men who are self-conscious about their beard growth and are looking to create a fuller look.

FUE

FUE is -

  1. Non-invasive
  2. Offers zero linear scarring
  3. Has a minimal recovery period
  4. Can be done using a diverse donor supply from multiple areas on the body
  5. Works to provide the best hair distribution using fine donor hair for the hair line and thicker donor hair for elsewhere on the scalp

When thinking about FUT vs FUE hair transplant, it’s helpful to remember that this option transplants individual hairs to the recipient site, while FUT hair transplant takes a section of skin. FUE works well if you’re looking to sort out small patches of hair loss, and the recovery time is much less for FUE.

Sapphire

Sapphire hair transplant is ideal for clients with advanced-stage hair loss because sapphire blades can be used to create dense hair transplantation. This method of hair transplant works to create a natural result, and one that’s much denser that standard FUE using steel blades.

A sapphire blade is able to achieve around 80-120 grafts per cm2 as opposed to 20-40 grafts with standard steel FUE blades.

FUT

FUT hair transplant surgery is when a surgeon removes a strip of skin either at the rear or side of the client’s head. Individual hair follicles are then extracted and then inserted in the area where hair loss is occurring. FUT hair transplant surgery works well when used on receding hairlines.

In terms of FUT vs FUE hair transplant, FUT is usually quicker. The procedure is generally done under local anaesthetic so you’ll be awake for the duration but the area of skin that the surgeon is working on will be numbed.

DHI

DHI hair transplant stands for Direct Hair Implantation. It works in the same way as an FUE hair transplant, but is done using a special handheld tool that’s shaped like a pen.

With regards to DHI vs FUE hair transplant, the DHI method bypasses the surgeon’s need to create channels in the recipient area, as DHI grafts are implanted in one go. With that in mind, DHI can often be quicker than FUE – however, treatment time also depends on the number of grafts needing to be implanted.
