Causes: Back Acne
There are various reasons as to why you might be experiencing back acne. Finding the root cause can be difficult, but it could be due to one or some of the following:
- Your hereditary make-up (you are simply someone who is more likely to develop back acne than someone else due to your genetics)
- Certain medication that you’re taking
- A hormonal imbalance
- Being overly sweaty
- Eating too much of a certain type of food – food that contains dairy, has a high glycaemic index, and some carbs have all been linked to an increase in possible back acne
