Female Hair Transplant (DHI Specialists)
Women’s Hair Transplant Surgery in the UK
Out of every 3 women, 1 of them will experience some form of hair loss during their life, yet the idea of females losing their hair has a significant stigma attached to it. Women with hair loss need confidentiality and a private place to have their hair loss problems handled, and that is exactly what the Este Medical Group offer.
Female hair loss often looks very different from male pattern baldness – it’s usually more diffuse, more emotional, and more complex. DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) Robotic Transplant technology is changing how women restore density and redefine their hairline, offering a minimally invasive solution with exceptional accuracy and long-lasting results.
Get the kind of female hairline transplant you need to get back your confidence! Our Robotic DHI Hair Transplant Procedure
Este Medical Group is proud to offer Robotic DHI — an even more advanced, technology-assisted option available at our clinics in Birmingham, UK, and Dubai.
Este Medical Group are always dedicated to providing the best quality treatments that produce long-lasting results.
A robotic hair transplant is an innovative hair restoration technique that combines advanced technology with expert surgical skills. Using a state-of-the-art robotic system, the procedure uses the DHI method, which allows for the precise extraction and implantation of hair follicles.
During the treatment, the robotic system and surgeon carefully extract hair follicles from a donor area, one at a time, while ensuring minimal trauma to surrounding tissues. The harvested follicles are then implanted directly into the treatment areas using a specialised tool known as the Choi Pen. This meticulous approach results in a natural-looking hairline and significantly reduces recovery time compared to traditional methods.
Is DHI Robotic Hair Transplant Right for You?
DHI is ideal for women who:
- Want a natural, feminine hairline
- Are experiencing diffuse thinning
- Prefer minimal downtime and no visible scarring
- Want predictable, high-quality long-term outcomes
Because every woman’s hair concerns are unique, a personalised assessment is essential to determine suitability and design the perfect hairline or density plan. For women who may not yet be ready for transplantation—or who want to optimise their results—we also offer a range of non-surgical regrowth therapies, including PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), laser hair regrowth, and other advanced scalp-stimulation treatments. These can be used alone or alongside DHI to support stronger, thicker, long-lasting hair growth.
FAQ's
Is this treatment right for my type of female hair loss?
A hair transplant might not be right for your type of female hair loss, therefore, that’s why we offer other non-surgical hair loss treatments which can in some cases work better. For example, you might only have mild hair thinning and need Laser Hair Re-growth treatment. If you want to find out more about our hair loss treatments for women, please don’t hesitate to contact your nearest UK clinic.
How long after treatment can I start to style my hair again?
You can tie your hair up straight away. Heat products like straighteners, hair dryers and curlers are 2 weeks after surgery. Hair spray can’t be used for 4 weeks after treatment as it can block the pores and cause ingrown hairs. For more information, we will discuss this during your consultation at your nearest UK clinic.
What do I need to do post-surgery?
At Este Medical Group, we are passionate about giving you the best treatment you can get – Which extends past the initial treatment into high-quality, ongoing aftercare. This includes washing by our team of specialists after your hair transplant to avoid any chance of infection or of the hair follicles falling out, as well as using Laser Hair Growth treatment for one-month post-transplant to stimulate the rapid growth of your new and existing hair. We will discuss this in further detail during your consultation at your nearest UK clinic.
How long will I start to see my hair grow back?
It will take 6-12 months to be able to see the hairs grow thick. We can’t guess how long it takes for your hair to match your current hair as it depends on how long that is and how quickly your hair grows. We can discuss this further during your consultation at your nearest UK clinic.
Do I need to take time off work?
You’ll be able to return to work in 2-5 days after the operation and within 2 to 3 weeks after surgery, the transplanted hair follicles will fall out. Then you should notice new hair growth within a few months – which last forever!
General healing period takes around 5-10 days for all redness and swelling to subside. It is up to you whether you want to take more time off work.
Are there any side-effects?
Common, temporary side effects of a hair transplant are a tight, achy, swollen scalp and scabbing around the transplanted hairs. There’s also a small risk of bleeding on the scalp, infection, or an allergic reaction to the anaesthetic.
How much does a female hair transplant cost?
Our prices depend on how many grafts are needed, which means no “From £…” or any hidden costs. The cost depends on the area of transplantation and to what extent the hair loss is at. We provide accommodation and transfers also so book in your consultation or call us to discuss our price further.
