While female hair loss is often traced back to a history of hair loss in the family, other factors can also result in hair issues.
Women can count on the Este Medical Group to provide a private and professional hair transplant procedure in regard to your specific cause of hair loss.
This is a special process used to grab follicles to relocate to an area of hair loss. Our sapphire FUE technique is done by highly skilled surgeons who use a revolutionary sapphire blade, allowing the opening of V-shaped canals, resulting in smaller incisions and leaving less tissue damage to the skin.
The channels of the hair follicles can be set much finer with this method, with less bleeding and less scabbing occurring. After collecting and properly storing the grafts, our surgeon then prepares the transplant area with an eye towards artistically placing the grafts in ways that will look and feel natural. One advantage to utilise the FUE method is that it leaves minimal scars and does not leave noticeable linear scars like the FUT technique does.
Hair follicles and the tissue surrounding are extracted using a punch device ranging from 0.7mm – 1.0mm – Leaving no wound or scars. The hair transplant procedure enables specialists to deliver painless and comfortable treatment.
Leaving no wound closures with no linear scarring after the procedure; unlike any other hair transplant UK technique, allowing you to wear short hairstyles.
Unlike other invasive methods, you will be able to return to work and your daily life in a shorter time! The recovery period is very short and there is minimal discomfort at our hair transplantation clinic.
Don’t worry if you don’t think you have healthy donor supplies, with FUE there are multiple areas on a person’s body to take the hair from, for example: chests, arms and legs.
Our hair transplant clinic can detect and select finer single hair follicles that are ideal for the hairline – or thicker follicles for other areas on the scalp.

FUE Hair Transplant
A hair transplant might not be right for your type of female hair loss, therefore, that’s why we offer other non-surgical hair loss treatments which can in some cases work better. For example, you might only have mild hair thinning and need Laser Hair Re-growth treatment. If you want to find out more about our hair loss treatments for women, please don’t hesitate to contact your nearest UK clinic.
You can tie your hair up straight away. Heat products like straighteners, hair dryers and curlers are 2 weeks after surgery. Hair spray can’t be used for 4 weeks after treatment as it can block the pores and cause ingrown hairs. For more information, we will discuss this during your free consultation at your nearest UK clinic.
At Este Medical Group, we are passionate about giving you the best treatment you can get – Which extends past the initial treatment into high-quality, ongoing aftercare. This includes washing by our team of specialists after your hair transplant to avoid any chance of infection or of the hair follicles falling out, as well as using Laser Hair Growth treatment for one-month post-transplant to stimulate the rapid growth of your new and existing hair. We will discuss this in further detail during your free consultation at your nearest UK clinic.
It will take 6-12 months to be able to see the hairs grow thick. We can’t guess how long it takes for your hair to match your current hair as it depends on how long that is and how quickly your hair grows. We can discuss this further during your free consultation at your nearest UK clinic.
You’ll be able to return to work in 2-5 days after the operation and within 2 to 3 weeks after surgery, the transplanted hair follicles will fall out. Then you should notice new hair growth within a few months – which last forever!
General healing period takes around 5-10 days for all redness and swelling to subside. It is up to you whether you want to take more time off work.
Common, temporary side effects of a hair transplant are a tight, achy, swollen scalp and scabbing around the transplanted hairs. There’s also a small risk of bleeding on the scalp, infection, or an allergic reaction to the anaesthetic.
Our prices are fixed, which means no “From £…” or any hidden costs. The cost depends on the area of transplantation and to what extent the hair loss is at. We provide accommodation and transfers also so book in your free consultation or call us to discuss our price further.
