How Painful Is Laser Tattoo Removal?
Pain is subjective, but we make sure your treatment is as comfortable as possible for you. Before your laser tattoo removal procedure, we will apply a topical anaesthetic cream to numb the area.
Some people compare the level of pain to be similar to the level experienced when getting the tattoo. When the laser is applied to your skin, you may feel a heating sensation or experience an ‘elastic band snap’ feeling.
How Many Sessions Does It Take to Remove a Tattoo?
It depends on the tattoo, the colours of the tattoo pigment, your skin tone, and how well your skin and body respond to the procedure. We advise a course of several treatments to get the best results. This will all be discussed during your consultation at our laser clinic.
How Long Do You Need to Wait Between Laser Tattoo Removal Treatments?
This can depend on your skin tone, but generally, the time you need to wait between treatments usually falls between six to eight weeks. It can be longer for darker complexions.
Are there any side effects to laser resurfacing?
This is a safe procedure; however, you may experience potential skin flaking, which will be discussed in your initial consultation. A sunburn-like sensation may also be felt a few hours after your treatment but with the use of a light moisturiser that will subside.
Does laser resurfacing hurt?
There is little to no discomfort during this laser treatment, and you may only feel a slight warming of the targeted area.
